Lenten Family Retreat: Saturday, March 3rd — St. Anne’s Parish, Scarborough

Presentations:

“Snapchat, Instagram, and God”
This interactive talk by Yuri Hladio will address issues of identity by contrasting social media as a means of creating an identity and the true identity which is only discovered in Christ.

“The Liturgy before the Liturgy”
One of the priests will demonstrate and explain the symbolism and meaning of the “Proskomidia,” the preparation of the Bread and Wine which the priest performs before the public part of the Liturgy begins.

2:00 PM Welcome
2:15 PM 1st Session
3:00 PM Break
3:15 PM 2nd Session
4:00 PM Break
4:15 PM “Ask the Priest”
5:00 PM Vespers

The Retreat is open to youth from grade 4 and older as well as their parents. Groups will be organized according to age.
